"Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for the leader."
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled and said,
"This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast.
It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid.
They will try to hold on to the shore.
They will feel thay are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.
Know the river has its destination.
The elders say we must let go of the shore,
Push off into the middle of the river,
Keep our eyes open, and our heads above water.
And I say, see who is there with you and celebrate.
At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally,
Least of all ourselves, For the moment that we do,
Our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over.
Gather yourselves!
Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary.
All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we've been waiting for."
The paradox of our time in history is...
That we have taller buildings,
but shorter tempers;
wider motorways,
but narrower viewpoints;
We spend more,
but have less;
we buy more,
but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families;
more conveniences,
but less time;
We have more degrees,
but less sense;
more knowledge,
but less judgement;
more experts,
but more problems;
more medicine,
but less wellness.
We have multiplied our possessions,
but reduced our values.
We talk too much,
love too seldom,
and hate too often.
We learned how to make a living,
but not a life;
we've added years to life,
not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbour.
We've conquered outer space,
but not inner space;
we've cleaned up the air,
but polluted the soul;
we've split the atom,
but not our prejudice;
We have higher incomes,
but lower morals;
we've become long on quantity,
but short on quality.
These are the times of tall men,
and short character;
steep profits,
and shallow relationships.
These are the times of world peace,
but domestic warfare;
more leisure,
but less fun;
more kinds of food,
but less nutrition.
These are the days of two incomes,
but more divorce;
of fancier houses,
but broken homes.
It is a time when there is much in the show window
and nothing in the stockroom;
A time when technology can bring this to you,
and a time when you can choose either to make a difference
or just surf on...
What a piece of work is man(kind)
How noble in reason!
How infinite in faculty in form, in moving how express and admirable!
In action how like an angel!
In apprehenion how like a God!
That beauty of the world!
That paragon of animals!
There is occasions and causes why and wherefore in all things.
The wheele is come full Circle.
- William Shakespeare
We are one person.
We are two alone.
We are three together.
We are for each other.
- Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
